Yatra, a Sanskrit word meaning journey, is a pilgrimage to spiritual places: temples, monuments and other sacred sites. We visit the most sacred places of worship in southern India while continuing to practise yoga. The journey itself is as important as the destination, and the challenges of the journey constitute an act of devotion. Visiting a sacred place purifies the soul and brings one closer to the divine. Yatra offers a sense of belonging and opens the heart. <\/p>

A journey to the origins of yoga and your own inner centre<\/em><\/h3>

We invite you to enjoy a unique experience: a mindful journey through southern India, the birthplace of yoga, ancient wisdom and devotion.
More than a retreat, this is an inner pilgrimage, a journey towards the essence of yoga and towards yourself.<\/p>

We will begin in Chennai, the gateway to the south, where we will experience the contemporary pulse of India and its contrasts.
We will continue on to Mahabalipuram<\/strong>, an ancient coastal city of stone-carved temples, a World Heritage Site, and explore its ancient energy, continuing to explore the path of Aurobindo.<\/p>

Then we will travel to Tiruvannamalai,<\/strong> a place of deep spirituality and silence, where we will spend several days studying and practising traditional yoga<\/strong>, guided by local teachers<\/strong> and Indian masters<\/strong>, in an atmosphere of contemplation, practice and reflection.<\/p>

We will end our journey in Kerala<\/strong>, the land of coconut trees, canals and ancient Ayurvedic<\/strong> knowledge, where we will enjoy a few days of rest, integration and connection with nature.<\/p>
